Dr. Andy Juechter, ND, LAc
Dr. Andrew Juechter is a naturopath and licensed acupuncturist specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation from musculoskeletal disorders.
In June 2024, Dr. Juechter was introduced to Dr. Dan Buquicchio through his mentor, Dr. Christy Lee-Engle. Dr. Juechter was immediately captivated by Dr. Dan’s skill, his personable nature, his devotion to his patients, and his love for his work. Dr. Juechter has been truly honored to train with Dr. Dan, learning his “low force, gentle” method of spinal and extremities adjustments. He has been able to see first-hand the impact Dr. Dan’s treatment has on alignment and pain.
Dr. Juechter utilizes a variety of modalities to aid his patients including adjustments, acupuncture, dry needling, myofascial release, and craniosacral therapy, as well as focused therapeutic herbal, nutritional supplementation and pharmaceutical support. Dr. Juechter believes honesty, integrity and compassion are integral parts of an approach to helping empower patients to make long-lasting improvement.
As the son of an eye surgeon and clinical social worker, the importance of healing and caring for others was instilled in Dr. Juechter at an early age. His journey to a career in the health sciences started with an interest in nutrition. With a love for cooking and a belief in the connection between food and health, he engaged in a 12-week holistic nutrition program at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City.
In this program, he was first introduced to concepts of Chinese medicine. Ignited with passion for natural healing practices, he eagerly sought out more knowledge which led to his pursuit of dual track studies at Bastyr University.
During his time at Bastyr, Dr. Juechter developed a love for physical medicine. While learning acupuncture, spinal adjustments, myofascial release and craniosacral therapy, he saw profound changes result from minimally invasive techniques.
As he developed a keen interest in pain management and mental health, he employed the skills he learned to complement a foundational approach to the complex issue of chronic pain. As a result, he went on to devote his practice to the management of pain and recovery from injury.
Currently, Dr. Juechter has over 10 years of experience working with acute and chronic pain conditions, musculoskeletal disorders, industrial rehabilitation and auto accidents. Prior to founding his own practice, Dr. Juechter served as the clinical director of a multidisciplinary pain management program, where he successfully led a team of healthcare professionals in delivering integrative, non-pharmaceutical treatment for sufferers of chronic pain.
In this role, he taught classes using mindfulness, various psychophysiologic practices, nutrition and lifestyle changes in combination with therapeutic exercise to support physical and mental rehabilitation. Because of this background, Dr. Juechter has a rare understanding of chronic pain and its impact on a patients life.
In addition to his professional work, Dr. Juechter has a passion for cooking, traveling, watching films, and he is a classically trained pianist with a BA in music from Denison University. Outside of work, you might find him playing keyboards in a band or practicing one of the other instruments he enjoys including jembe, ngoni (Malian harp), or bass guitar.
Dr. Juechter is NOT contracted with insurance, including Medicare (Naturopaths are not contracted with Medicare).
